The GE OEC 9900 mobile C-arm unit first entered the market in 2006. It is the predecessor to the GE OEC 9800 and includes many modern upgrades, such as dual articulating 18-inch flat-screen monitors, imaging presets, DICOM, and many intuitive software packages.

The extended clinical support packages for the OEC 9900 include the General Surgical Package (GSP), Extended Surgical Package (ESP), Cardiac Package, Neurovascular Package, and Vascular Package as options.

Even though the GE OEC 9900 has been replaced by newer models– the GE OEC 9900 Elite and GE OEC Elite CFD, it is still popular due to its ease of use and affordability.
