The GE Venue 40 is a tablet-style ultrasound machine that is cart-mountable. It is designed for point-of-care applications where quick scanning procedures are necessary.
It has a 10.4” touchscreen display with a very wide viewing angle. It has a DVI output to connect to an additional display.
The GE Venue 40 is designed for critical care and emergency rooms first and foremost. Sonographers and physicians can easily transport it to the patient for immediate care and assessment. It is used for anesthesia (needle guidance), vascular access (picc line), MSK, orthopedic scans, and more. It has basic cardiac functions but is not designed for full cardiac assessments.

The machine has an ultra-fast boot time and intuitive operation. It is fully touch-operated, with user-configurable shortcuts for quick control, which critical patients need. GE has new models in the Venue series – the Venue 50 and Venue R2, but the Venue 40 remains a popular choice due to its balance of features, reliability, and affordability.
