The GE Voluson E6 BT17 is one of the most popular and highly-regarded machines for OB/GYN. It is a mid to high-end machine within GE’s “Expert” series. However, it isn’t the most advanced OB/GYN ultrasound machine in its lineup, but it retains its affordability while still providing many high-quality features.

The Voluson E6 BT17 ultrasound machine has excellent workflow, great ergonomics, and many advanced OB/GYN features, including 4D imaging. It has an intuitive 10.4-inch touch screen that reduces procedure time and Scan Assistant, which further optimizes workflow in several obstetric scans.

Some OB/GYN feature highlights of the Voluson E6 BT17 include:

  • Radiantflow, which provides quick visualizations of small blood vessels
  • HDLive to provide live fetal face images
  • HD-Flow to monitor heart and lung perfusion
  • SonoCNS, which images and measures the fetal brain

GE released the “BT17” revision of the Voluson E6 in 2017. The upgrade provides many firmware updates, feature improvements, and efficiency upgrades.
