Many physicians and sonographers consider the GE Voluson E6 BT16 the “gold standard” in fetal assessments. It sports a 10.4-inch touch screen and a Scan Assistant feature to optimize workflow in various obstetric procedures and checkups.

The Voluson E6 is in GE’s “Expert” series. Compared to the higher-end Voluson E8, the E6 does not have as many features but comes at a lower cost– it is more affordable but still has many high-quality features.

The Voluson E6 BT16 ultrasound machine has excellent image quality, superior workflow, and world-class ergonomics. It offers specialized obstetric imaging functions such as:

  • HD-Flow to monitor heart and lung perfusion
  • HDLive to view live fetal face images
  • Radiantflow which delivers quick visualizations of blood vessels
  • SonoCNS to help image and measure the fetal brain

The “BT16” revision of the GE Voluson E6 was released in 2016 and provides several feature enhancements, software updates, and efficiency improvements.
